The author of the infamous novel faces her creations and reckons with the lasting impact of her radical and horrific story in this new retelling of Frankenstein. "A poetically arresting journey into one of the greatest horrors of all time." September 18 - October 12, 2025 8:00 PM (Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays) 2:00 PM (Saturdays and Sundays) 85 minutes​ ​​TIX: $35 featuring Katrina Clark, Jon Beal, and JC Payne* directed by Alex Levy * member of Actors Equity ​HAVE YOU EVER SEEN A PLAY IN A CEMETARY?! - only eighteen performances - limited seating in cushioned chairs - street parking and metro access - plenty of local bars and restaurants - 85 minutes with no intermission - no onsite ticket sales (only advanced ticket sales) - no late seating ​​Because of the uniqueness of the venue/performance space, the production seats only fifty guests per performance. Attendees will be checked-in at the front gate of Congressional Cemetery, which is located at 1801 E Street, SE. Attendees do not need to bring a printed ticket to the gate: names of attendees will be on a registration list. This performance will happen in the Chapel at Congressional Cemetery, which is a brief walk from the entrance. Attendees will receive an email the day before their scheduled performance with reminders and updates. Because of the uniqueness of the venue/performance space, the production seats only fifty guests per performance. The audience will meet as a group and walk together, with a guide, to the performance site at the Cemetery. Seating is provided in the chapel.

His play Bareback Ink, a queer reimagining of the Ganymede myth, recently had runs at NYC's Hard Sparks, directed by Obie-winner David Drake, and the Capital and Edinburgh Fringe Festivals. ​Recently, Bartlett has been producing his own site-specific work: his play The Accident Bear had a successful run in the Avenue Laundromat in Downtown Annapolis; during the first year of covid, he staged his play Three Strangers Sitting Around a Backyard Firepit at Two in the Morning Listening to Bruce Springsteen's Nebraska in his backyard; he recently staged his horror play, Lýkos Ánthrōpos, in a wooded clearing in the middle of the woods on a farm in Maryland and at historic Congressional Cemetery in Washington, DC; his romcom Love and Vinyl premiered in the summer of 2023 at KA-CHUNK!! Records in downtown Annapolis; and he wrote the covid-inspired, twelve-episode Duck Harbor with EM Lewis for 1st Stage in Tysons which aired in 2021.
