The Best Damned Tiki Bar in Hell
The Limbo Lounge is a Tiki bar in Hell, where Angels, Demons, and deceased Mortals mingle around tropical cocktails, karaoke, and Eternal power-plays. The balance shifts constantly as Hell applies cutting-edge corporate theory... but the God-Father and his Heavenly Host of Wise Guys have plenty of schemes - and the muscle to back it up. And the Mortals trapped in between - who generate the "Soul" the whole Afterlife runs on - have an agenda of their own! Limbo! is all of these in varying degrees: * a themed costume party with activities like karaoke * a participatory immersive and interactive theater event where you can engage as much or as little as you like * a murder mystery dinner - without the murder - where everyone plays a character * a highly competitive, cutthroat role-playing exercise with the fate of Heaven, Hell, Humanity and your own Eternal soul hanging in the balance * a real-world experience with real living human beings * an irreverently and blasphemously fun setting extrapolated from theology, inspired by the art of Shag and movies like "Coco" and "Soul". Think "The Good Place" without the moral fiber.
Audience Role
The Limbo! experience features an overall story and individual plots; some, none, or all of which might be resolved based on the actions of YOU, our participants. Some might "win" and others might "lose" their plot goals - but we try to make losing just as much fun. Following the plot is not required - you can just enjoy the scenery, activities, and characters, or get involved in whatever looks the most entertaining. You will have two choices to make before the event: first, play either a Mortal (yourself or any other dead person) or an Immortal (an Angel or Demon), and second, how much you want to be connected into plots. We can develop a character for you or, if you are enterprising, help you craft an appropriate persona. (Just a note that, despite what their PR has to say, Hell isn't all bad... and Heaven isn't all that good either.)
