Each year Envoute is committed to bringing you immersive and exciting Halloween events to make your spooky season feel complete. This year we offer you an interactive theatrical event inspired by the Maine-based world of the King of Horror himself. We'll all take a trip into Castle Rock and uncover a cosmic mystery that began before time itself and delve into a world of eldritch terrors, unique horror, and interactive puzzles, entertainment, and challenges to keep you spooked and occupied all night long. Immerse yourself in a world inspired by the dark and cosmic tales of the King of Horror, himself. We're transporting you to a peaceful Maine community to a jovial town hall meeting where eldritch mysteries and dark secrets await. Playing off of the success of our immersive theatrical roleplaying experience last year (Masque of the Red Death) we're upping the ante and creating an interactive event that combines element of murder mystery, live action roleplay, tabletop roleplay, party games, and dinner theater. Come join us as we envelop you in a misty world filled with age-old entities, mystery-laden townsfolk, and much more. Designed by New York's very own live action roleplay guru: Ericka Skirpan in conjunction with Envoute Entertainment and the expertise of Bob Kaplan and Stephanie Griffiths. Taking place at the Haddon Fortnightly 301 Kings Highway East Haddonfield, NJ 08033 Doors open at 6pm and guests will have an hour to grab a drink and get their bearings Event officially kicks off 7pm with all the horrors and mysteries of King's work abounding. There is no dress code but we encourage guests to dress comfortably and, if they'd like, casually. You will be playing the part of a townsperson at the Castle Rock annual Fall Ball festival in Town Hall. Guests will be asked to participate in an immersive theatrical roleplaying event that requires problem solving, games, teamwork, and interacting with actors, objects, and other guests in order to complete objectives and forward the evening's storyline. Be prepared to move around, talk, manage time, and play along! Tickets include: open bar for beer and wine plus cash bar for other drinks provided by local breweries and distilleries A potluck buffet provided by Castle Rock residents Interactive theatrical roleplaying experience that will require you to problem solve, rub elbows with literary characters come to life, and challenge your fellow guests to complete the challenges of the night Unique party favors and souvenirs Entertainment and games throughout the night Countless surprises for the casual player and unlockable secret interactions and activities for the seasoned roleplayer. Meet our Team: Envoûté Entertainment is a hidden treasure of Philadelphia entertainment with over a decade of monthly events throughout the city combining what they consider “boutique cabaret” with hand-tailored immersive and thematic experiences for the general public and private events. The “concierge of cabaret” wrangles artists from all over the states to produce collaborative projects aimed at an ambient and aesthetically pleasing performance. https://www.facebook.com/Envoute.MB/ Ericka Skirpan, director/event designer is part experience designer, writer, actor, and director. She's been in the the larp and immersive theater trenches for over 20 years. She has an Honors BFA in theater from the University of Toronto where she was the artistic director for an immersive theater company, “In the Moment Productions." She firmly believes in bringing emotionally cathartic transformations to actors and audiences alike through live storytelling; then providing the safety mechanisms to ensure a healthy return to reality after such experiences. A few of her previous facilitating credits include: Armistice Arcane, Worthwitch School for Wizards, Hartwood, Fatal Bonds, and Daemon. She has previously been the Run-Time director for Sinking Ship Creation's Project Ascension, Scapegoat, and Participation Design Agency's Inside Hamlet as well as being design staff for Velvet Noir, Dead Legends, and Dammerung. .

Audience Role

The audience members will be fully immersed as actors in a series of challenges and games where they will become part of the stories created by the father of modern horror. Guests are asked to dress as townsfolk attending a Town Hall celebration. They will also be encouraged to put on their thinking caps and to use wit and wiles in order to progress through the game both when interacting with actors and their fellow attendees as they get more and more immersed into the world of Stephen King. Attendees will be met with a collection of antiques and oddities to interact with. performers and carnival games, plus interactive theater featuring Stephen King characters across all his books and stories, including: Lenoge, Pennywise, Rose the Hat, Johnny Smith, Sheriff Bannerman, Richard Straker, Leland Gaunt, and others to come. Expect to interact with your fellow guest, a myriad of performers, your environment, and more in creative and exciting and sometimes spooky ways.
