Kaimera Lab

The Kaimera Lab is a 10-day intensive training, which encapsulates the principles of Kaimera’s practice on creating, producing and presenting new forms of live performance, particularly focusing on work that is immersive, participatory, site-specific and interdisciplinary. The training blends skill-building and knowledge-sharing sessions with ample opportunities for experimentation and evaluation, offering participants tools and skills to create, present and perform immersive work of their own. Designed for performing artists, narrative & experience designers and interdisciplinary artists, it is open to anyone with or without experience in immersive and participatory approaches and site-specific work. *** The inaugural Kaimera Lab will take place at a striking castle in the North of France, the Château de Belloy Saint-Léonard, between July 23 - August 1, 2021. The workshop sessions will lead to a final performance, in which residents of the villages surrounding the Château will be invited. Applications are accepted until April 21. Selected participants will be notified by April 30. *** Kaimera strives to be as inclusive as possible and scholarships to participate in the Kaimera Lab are offered on a case-by-case basis for those not receiving external financial assistance. Should the training be cancelled due to safety concerns, your payment(s) will be refunded in full. If you cancel your participation due to Covid-related health reasons, your payment(s) will be refunded in full upon submission of a medical certificate, excluding non-recoverable costs (e.g. bank charges). If you decide to cancel your participation for any other reason, the deposit payment is non-refundable and all other payment(s) will be refunded, excluding non-recoverable costs.
