James Turrell: Luther's Light
A site-specific light installation by James Turrell in the burial chapel of the Dorotheenstädtischer Friedhof, Berlin
James Turrell (*1943) is an American artist primarily concerned with light and space. Since July 2015 he shows a site specific light installation at the newly renovated burial chapel of Dorotheenstädtischer cemetery in the center of Berlin. The permanent installation is the only artwork by Turrell that is accessible to the public in Berlin, it can only be seen during sunset hours. 1. Duration: 1 hour (including 25 min introduction in English). 2. Tickets are non refundable. 3. Photos are not allowed in the exhibition. 4. Feel free to contact us: tickets@evfbs.de 5. The chapel opens 20 minutes prior to the event. 6. Please arrive at the exhibition at least 10 minutes before the start to ensure the event begins on time.
