WHO SHOULD ATTEND? This introductory workshop led by Monica Miklas is designed for artists and producers in the early stages of their careers (0-7 years of experience). Anyone new to immersive, producing, or both is encouraged to attend! WHAT WILL WE DO? This workshop will include a cursory overview of: • common business models • the financial components of managing a project • when to be aware of legal compliance • common hurdles in the production process • understanding the audience journey • interpersonal skills necessary for leading a creative team. Throughout the presentation we look at case studies to collectively dissect and discuss real world applications of core producing principles. WHAT ELSE WILL I GAIN FROM ATTENDING? 1. Take home resources from professional producers that will include: • a plug & play budgeting spreadsheet •slides from the educational presentation •a list of recommendations for how to get connected to the industry 2. The opportunity to meet like-minded folks at the workshop as well as an invite to a mixer for attendees across the different sessions to connect. 3.
