For a limited time, a building within the St. Vincent Behavioral Health Campus in Los Angeles is transformed into a living museum of emotions. 70 artists from diverse creative fields take over a hospital and transforming it into an immersive artworks exploring the full spectrum of human emotion. At Hospital of Emotions, each emotion becomes its own hospital department. From joy and love to fear, anger, hope, sadness, gratitude and resilience. Visitors move through the building room by room, discovering installations that transform hospital spaces into emotional environments. Operating rooms, patient rooms, ER spaces, nurses’ stations and corridors are each taken over by a different artist. Artists transform every part of the space - walls, ceilings, floors and furniture - creating fully immersive environments. Open doors into unexpected emotional landscapes, where each room offers a different artistic interpretation of a human emotion. The exhibition takes place inside an old hospital building, temporarily transformed into a large-scale pop-up art exhibition. Artists work with the existing architecture - corridors, patient rooms, operating rooms, nurses stations and medical spaces - using the building itself as their canvas. Through this transformation, the hospital becomes a surreal and powerful artistic landscape. For a limited time, the hospital itself becomes the artwork. Hospital of Emotions brings together emerging and established artists working across disciplines including visual art, installation, architecture, design and street art. Each artist receives a hospital room and transforms it into a complete immersive artwork.
