Honest Purpose
A site-specific dance piece created by Heidi Duckler Dance to be performed at the Culver Steps.
HONEST PURPOSE is a series of performances at the Culver Steps featuring Heidi Duckler Dance dancers accompanied by a live four-piece band led by Dwight Trible. Funded in part by the City of Culver City and its Cultural Affairs Commission, with support from Sony Pictures Entertainment and the Culver City Arts Foundation, the piece is an exploration of private and public space as well as a celebration of the reopening of the city and the joyful reemergence of the community into this space after a period of isolation. The piece is symbolic of increasing accessibility and inclusion coming out of the pandemic, and we are excited to share it with you! Grab dinner before or after the show, do some summer shopping, and partake in live performance once again!

Heidi Duckler Dance is a Los Angeles-based dance company that performs site-specific works around the city as well as conducts innovative arts education programs at schools and community centers in underserved areas of LA. Our mission is to create place-based performances that transform non-traditional spaces, providing learning opportunities and engaging diverse communities, in the belief that the arts can change our vision of the world and of ourselves.
