Here the Egregore, a powerful thought form of collective energy, will be born, evolve, and ultimately ascend into a ritual of cosmic significance. Over three nights, prepare to be engulfed in a chaotic and bombastic rapture, where reverence and disorder collide in a storm of sound, light, and catharsis. EXPURGO! will be more than an event; prepare for a visceral meditation on the cycles of creation, growth, and release. Within the depths of this year’s ritual the Altar of Gna will continue to serve as a sacred space where offerings are placed to fuel the Egregore’s journey. Here, participants contribute artifacts to represent that which has passed—loved ones, ancestors, places, institutions, outmoded patterns, ideas, behaviors—channeling their energy into the Egregore’s formation. As the arcane and chaotic intertwine, prepare for the Egregore’s ultimate release at the Hallowmass Burn, the grand finale to these three powerful nights. At itchy-O's Hallowmass, the audience are not merely spectators—they are the pulse of the ritual, driving the energy that fuels the entropic celebration. As part of the Triad of Impermanence, attendees are invited to approach the sacred altar, offering artifacts of their past—tributes to souls, places, patterns, ideas and/or principles that have shaped them. This act of release, deeply rooted in the lore of The itchy-O and the Triad of Impermanence; Mayat Om, Mayat Od, and Exurgo. AND... engaging with the altar is only is only the beginning. Prepare to release all things in a chaotic, bombastic celebration, a wild dance of disorder that shatters the boundaries between the audience and the spectacle. The collective energy surges, igniting a shared rite where reverence meets rapture, and the audience, entwined with the performers, alters the very fabric of reality in a night of pure, unbridled transformation.

About THEE ITCHY-O
Since 2009, this Colorado-based meta-mystical ensemble has been thrilling audiences across the U.S. and beyond. A battery of fourteen-plus power percussionists comprises the spine of the fifty-plus strong performance troupe whose orchestral arsenal of avant-instrumentation runs the gamut from guitars, gamelan, and synths to less conventional instruments including theremin and vocoders in concert with more experimental trance-inducing appurtenances. Itchy-O dismantles assumptions of traditional performance models to break down the barriers between audience and experience, administering a blast of ceremonial chaos; baptizing the audience—body, mind, and collective soul—in a spectacular, pan-sensorial sea of music, mystery, and transcendental spiritual spectacle. Itchy-O proudly served as a centerpiece at MONA’s world-renowned Dark MOFO fest in Tasmania in 2016 and is ecstatic to be invited back to perform, again in 2023. They have performed on stage with David Byrne & St. Vincent. JG Thirwell and Dan Deacon have opened for itchy-O and they have warmed up audiences for numerous legendary artists including DEVO, Beats Antique, Iggy Pop, Bad Religion, and Public Enemy. They have performed countless private engagements, including a legendary performance for Maynard Keenan’s Merkin Vineyards in 2019. Jello Biafra’s iconic underground record label, Alternative Tentacles has released three of their groundbreaking studio albums. Itchy-O is also committed to providing spontaneous free public performances in the spirit of upending the mundane and delivering mesmerizing art to the streets by providing impromptu musical encounters in non-traditional settings; delighting unsuspecting audiences with surprise ontological assaults on ordinary reality. www.itchyo.com
