Run Time: Aprox 60-75 Minutes Gumball Dreams is a guided virtual reality theater experience with a live actor designed for three audience members. Each show runs approx. 60-75 minutes long. Winner of the 2022 SXSW Audience Award XR Experience Competition, the show had its international premiere at the prestigious 79th International Venice Film Festival and its Asia premier at the Kaohsiung Film Festival where it won the grand jury price, VR competition Golden Fireball Award before winning Best Immersive Performance at Raindance Immersive. Gumball Dreams was also awarded Best 2022 Experience, Creator of the Year and Best Live Experience by the online magazine and database XRMust. And was performed in Mandarin for inclusion in the 2023 Kaohsiung Film Festival. NARRATIVE SUMMARY You have been called by an alien creature named Onyx to a mythical planet on which they are living out their final days. You, and two others, are asked to help them transition from this reality to the next. But before Onyx can lay infinite wisdom at your feet, the weight of your spirit must be assessed. If found ready, you shall embark upon the journey of a lifetime, skipping among the stars, floating above the spheres, and remembering who you really are. HOW IT WORKS Virtual Reality Admission – Participate Live Gumball Dreams is a fully live VR performance featuring two actors who fluidly portray multiple characters. Audience members from around the world can attend using a Meta Quest 3, 3s, Pro, or PCVR-compatible headset. To get the most out of this immersive experience: Enable your microphone so you can speak directly with the characters you encounter. Audiences will converse with the actors, other audience members and interact with their virtual surroundings. With the transformative power of VR technology, participants are fully immersed in our captivating 3D world. Audiences will go through multiple environments, exploring all the way from the tunnel system underneath the fictional Uncanny Alley world, traversing through hackerspaces, caravans, secret workshops, nightclubs and all the way to the heights of the ALI government penthouse offices. TICKETING: There are only THREE tickets available for each show time. Audience members will be the primary focus of the experience, participants can expect a high level of interactivity. RESTRICTIONS Attendees will be required to create a VRChat account (this is free) and download the app to their Oculus or Steam account. We are Quest 3, 3s and Pro compatible as well as PCVR via Steam. Quest 1 and 2 is not compatable, unless you are using them to tether to a PC using airline/virtual desktop/data cable.
