Welcome to Group Therapy, a seriously ridiculous piece of immersive dance theatre that reveals the unanticipated healing effect other people can have on us. Guided by Leah, a highly suspect dancer-turned-self-certified Experimental Experiential Dance Therapy Theatre Therapist™, you’ll experience a pseudo-therapeutic experience like no other. She'll offer you self-directed playtime, adult time-outs with sound baths, a few TMI disclosures, and an unexpected movement monologue or three exposing her long-buried feelings. Using a DIY aesthetic and a hearty dose of humor, Group Therapy creates a world where we all attempt to get “better" by being our fullest, messiest selves. Even if you're not in it for the healing, come to witness Cox's commanding performance. This longtime dancer with the Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Company is a performer who's not to be missed.
Audience Role
⚠️ 18 and up only. Leave the little ones at home and get your pseudo-therapy on with other adults and their inner children. Participation encouraged; thera-play at your own pace.
