GOD HATES SPACE

An immersive installation by GENER8ION (Surkin & Romain Gavras) at the Rotonde d’Antin of the Grand Palais

GOD HATES SPACE Immersive Event - Main Image

The audiovisual installation, displayed on a 12-meter double-sided screen will be presented free of charge to the public at the Grand Palais’s Rotonde d’Antin, a space brought into the Art Basel Paris program for the first time and transformed into an immersive audiovisual environment where film, sound, and architecture converge. GOD HATES SPACE is part of GENER8ION’s fragmented narrative set in the near future. For its first presentation in France, the Rotonde d’Antin becomes an immersive audiovisual space designed to bring the film and sound into dialogue with the architecture of the venue.

About Art Basel

Founded in Basel, Switzerland, by local gallerists Trudl Bruckner, Balz Hilt, and Ernst Beyeler, Art Basel was launched in 1970 as a bold experiment—one conceived by gallerists, for the benefit of galleries, artists and collectors. From the outset, it combined commercial rigor with curatorial ambition, bringing together 90 leading galleries and 30 publishers from 10 countries, and showcasing artists from across Europe and beyond.
