This immersive production will take you back in time to 1806, when scientific discoveries were on the rise, ladies wore high-waisted dresses, and an ambitious experiment was at the top of a certain Dr. Victor Frankenstein’s list. This new adaptation by Alisa Stewart will bring audiences inches from the ambitious doctor and his creature, inside the world in which they live. Told from the point of view of Margaret Saville, you’ll witness the creature’s journey of discovery and loneliness, and Dr. Frankenstein’s determination to hunt down the terrible, murderous experiment that he created. THE STORY: The story follows Victor Frankenstein, a young scientist who becomes obsessed with the idea of creating life. He sets aside his relationships with his family to focus on being the first to bring a being to life using methods of reanimation, but is horrified by the Creature's appearance and immediately abandons it. The life of the Creature becomes a tragic one as he is rejected by society and struggles with isolation and the need for companionship, leading to its descent into violence and vengeance against its creator and his family. In this adaptation, we explore the human need for connection, the pain of isolation, and the complex relationship between creator and creation. A moving and powerful adaptation that will stay with you long after the final applause. THE SHOW: Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein takes you literally through the hallways and rooms of the Frankenstein residence, Victor’s laboratory at Ingolstadt, a distant island of Scotland, the moors of Geneva, and much more in this immersive exploration of the true story of an abandoned soul and his narcissistic maker. Enjoy a beverage provided by Bonnie at the bar, then stand inches from watching the Monster move for the very first time. This is not your typical live theater event. There are no rows of seats nor a proscenium stage. This is an immersive, intimate production, following actors from room to room.

About Experience Theatre Project
Experience Theatre Project was founded with the belief that new, modern theater consists of innovation, immersion, and imagination. We strive to create a unique and inventive theater-going experience by bringing audience members into the moment through a collaboration of creative writers, performers, musicians, technology, digital media, and the community. We aspire to produce a wide-ranging repertoire which will encourage the audience to not simply observe a play, but essentially feel as though they are an integral part of the performance (the experience). Our eclectic approach celebrates new voices, inspires and challenges audiences of all ages, and explores new and inventive ways in which to bring theatrical performance to a whole new level of storytelling.
