A One-of-a-Kind World-Class Hybrid Event

FIVARS Festival of International Virtual & Augmented Reality Stories Immersive Event - Main Image

The 8th FIVARS Festival of International Virtual & Augmented Reality Stories, is set to run October 15-17th in West Hollywood, California, followed by a browser-based immersive virtual festival featuring 360 video projects from around the globe on October 22nd through November 2nd. FIVARS is a pillar of the immersive industry that started in 2015 in Toronto, running alongside TIFF - Toronto International Film Festival and has launched over 300 original experiences during that time. This year’s event will showcase another expertly-curated lineup of immersive experiences from around the world, including many world premieres. “My lens into the 360 medium has been indelibly shaped by the curatorial vision of the major film festivals, which has had a very specific threshold for storytelling & form. It’s refreshing to see something distinctly different with the curation of FIVARS.” Kent Bye, Voices of VR The one-of-a-kind hybrid (physical & online) event features additional multimedia experiences including a one-on-one telephonic comedy from Candle House Collective. Important COVID-19 Policy: Safety, security and health are a priority and we will take all precautions for the in-person event including medical grade UV Cleanboxes, physical distancing, limited attendance by appointment, masks, and vaccination policy.
