A jump in/jump out tour of Colfax
Field Trip! is a jump in/jump out tour of Colfax. Spect-actors (audience/participants) will enter Manos Sagrados to find a dance party and installation that will equip them for experimenting together on Colfax. The accompanying rotation on East Colfax will include an audio tour prompting exploration and play around businesses such as the MLK Library and the Arc Thrift Store. Spect-actors will encounter Jokers at each of the sites inviting in play and chaos in equal measure. The experience itself runs approximately 60 minutes with open time to explore, get distracted, and have a dance break. Field Trip! follows Control Group’s model of expeditionary performance and therefore utilizes varied terrain. Our extensive work ensures that each show is an accessible experience, though there may be moments where using mobility devices may take extra time.
