Eulogy: In loving memory of all that never was

Dearly beloved, We invite you to gather together to release the past, embrace the present and celebrate new possibilities to come. Over the past two years, we've all had a lot to release. While we continue to process our experiences of great personal and collective loss, let us not neglect to process the things that never came to be. This virtual experience will take you on a cathartic journey through each of the 5 stages of grief reflecting on a personal circumstance. Catharsis has its roots in Greek tragedy as a dramatic art and communal ritual designed to purge feelings of fear and grief. Your coryphaeus for the evening, Christy Casey, will guide you through your journey, which will both begin and end with music and mingling. Because laughter and dance are the best medicine. While the piece is very different from its original form, the structure is similar. Each person will choose a personal circumstance to reflect on and together we will walk through each of the 5 stages of grief with reflection prompts, culminating with guests reading their Eulogy and visualizing their unfulfilled circumstance burn away. **After registering, you will receive in your email a link to the virtual event space, as well as some guidance on how you can make the most of your experience including a list of tools/ props (i.e. pen, paper, candle), and suggestions for food if you’d like to incorporate additional sensory elements.
