ENDURE: Run Woman Show Immersive Event - Main Image

ENDURE: Run Woman Show is an outdoor immersive theatre performance roving through NYC’s iconic Central Park. The show tells the story of a woman running her first marathon, and the events in her life that propel her to the race. A story of starting over and what it takes to make it to the finish line. Our #1 most frequently asked question: Do I have to run? No! The whole show can be enjoyed at an easy walking pace. A WALK IN THE PARK "Endure" is a theatre performance that is, quite literally, a walk in the park. The show was created for the outdoors, immersing audiences in the world of marathon and the iconic magic of Central Park. THE START LINE Meet at the Start Line (our box office) and follow the performer on a 5km (3mi) journey through Central Park — walking, optionally running, observing at your own pace, distance, and discretion. HEAR HER THOUGHTS You’ll receive a sanitized and synchronized audio player with the runner’s inner monologue set to a musical soundtrack—an intimate audio backdrop to the live performance unfolding in front of you. SAFETY & COMFORT Our show is designed to be pleasantly Covid-safe. - It’s outdoors with intentionally small audiences (10-15 people max). - You enjoy the performance from your own vantage point, and can easily maintain a comfortable distance from others. - All of our crew will remain masked for the performance. - Our performers are fully vaccinated and will not be masked. Performers will maintain a minimum 6 feet distance from audience. - We ask that you remain masked and maintain 6 feet of distance from your fellow audience members for the duration of the show. If you have proof of vaccination, you are not required to wear your mask. (Valid proof of vaccination is an Excelsior pass or vaccination card with a name that matches your ID.) - Audio devices are sanitized after every use, and you may provide your own headphones if you want (with a standard 3.5mm or 1/8th” plug). - All audience members will be asked to sign a waiver prior to attending the show.

About Run Woman Show

Run Woman Show celebrates the creative potential of sport to tell deeply human stories and explore the terrain of resilience. It places audiences in the inherent theatricality of an athletic event: replete with natural pageantry, outdoors in public space, on the move. Audience meets at a “start line,” and receives synchronized audio players with the runner’s inner monologue set to a musical soundtrack. They follow a performer over approximately 5km of park space walking, running, observing at their own distance and discretion. The interior of the character becomes the audience’s interior, offering a level of intimacy unheard of in theatre.
