Explore the many facets of memory and the effects of Alzheimer's disease on one family
Linked Dance Theatre is proud to present our 12th immersive experience, Elle S’envoie a cutting-edge interactive, multimedia theater-experience, in collaboration with Hilarity for Charity. We are pleased to be collaborating with a national charity, helping to spread the message of HFC and engaging with new audiences in bringing awareness to Alzheimer's disease. --- In Elle S’envoie, each audience member will be part of the story from the comfort of their own home. The show will blend mailed materials, pre-recorded media, and live Zoom interactions to tell the story of Elle, who’s struggling to cope with the loss of her memories. Audience members will be invited to a Zoom gathering as friends of Elle to help celebrate an exciting new arrival to the family. But as the party progresses, everyone will discover that some things, important things, have gone missing. Elle will need your help to piece back together the memories that she has sent out to you in the midst of an Alzheimer’s-related memory lapse, all while you’re being transported into pockets of her memory via a “memory book”. Come help Elle’s family reckon with the nature of losing and rediscover the joy found in the present moment. A virtual performance, that’s like a living, breathing time machine, join us for an evening of exploring Alzheimer’s in a way you never have before. --- Founded in 2012 by Seth Rogen and Lauren Miller Rogen, HFC is a national non-profit organization whose mission is to care for families facing this disease, educate young people about living a brain-healthy life, and activate the next generation of Alzheimer’s advocates. HFC is accelerating progress in Alzheimer’s care, prevention, and support all while bringing many laughs and much awareness to the disease through our signature events. In addition to providing caregiver respite, HFC organizes online support groups to build caregiver community and connectivity, engages young people across the country to become Alzheimer’s advocates, funds prevention-focused and brain-health research, and teaches people how to care for the health of their brains today, so they can reduce their risk tomorrow. While there isn’t a cure, there is care.
Audience Role
Invited to a family gathering to celebrate a new addition to the family, the audience will take the role of friends of Elle and her relatives.

About Linked Dance Theatre
Linked Dance Theatre [LDT or Linked] is a contemporary performance art company that specializes in making Immersive and site specific art. LDT brings stories to life through movement, text, music, and everything related to the body. We believe that motions inspire emotions, which leads our collaborative creative process. Out of our practice then come staged and immersive works that subvert the conventional norms of what theatre or dance should or should not be. We like to lean in to the liminal, accentuate the odd, and build worlds that can allow for the mundane to extend into whimsical terrains that audiences can actually interact with. By pushing on the boundaries of theatrical convention, we strive to create works of art that are not only transitive but transformative in nature. We are often inspired by a specific space or a set of spaces to inform our work. We like to consider the space a character in the shows/worlds we build. Each performance created is intended to not only serve the space but also reflect a distinct element of our characters’ and audience’s humanity. We fully believe that artistry should be found everywhere, not just inside the four walls of a theater, but in odd and amazing spaces. By creating specifically for these spaces, we hope to open people’s eyes to landscapes they may not have explored before and to recontextualize familiar spaces in new ways.
