DEVOTION by Sarah Nagle - Enliven NYC
A series of storefront performances
266 W 37th Street, DEVOTION. Sarah Nagle showcases the daily practice of simplicity and movement to create beauty in the epicenter of chaos. Each morning, the artist, Sarah Nagle, performs a ballet class followed by a quick meditation and lunch. Throughout the installation, she will create a room-size painting covering the walls and floors with a signature geometric grid filled with saturated, bold pigments revealing a multi-dimensional, kaleidoscopic world. Four New York City Avante-Garde performance artists will each receive $1000 to present daily live interactive performances at four locations throughout Manhattan that will spark your imagination. “Chashama is returning to its roots. Live window installations like we had in the good old days,” says Anita Durst, founder of Chashama.
Audience Role
This residency is following the CDC’s guidelines for social distancing. The artist will interact with the audience through the window.
