TLAB Shares Hosts Welcome to Campfire’s CHALK OUTLINE PORTAL created & performed by Tony Bordonaro & Ingrid Kapteyn produced by Welcome to Campfire Chalk Outline Portal, the newest immersive danceplay from Welcome to Campfire, traverses grief, consciousness, and the fluidity of self in a raucous romp through surrealities. Integrating live sound mixing, real-time video feed, and an interactive gaming element, the production is a layered theatrical experience that blurs the boundaries between performer, creator, and observer. Welcome to Campfire is the story-making platform of creators and performers Tony Bordonaro and Ingrid Kapteyn. Merging dance and theater, their live and film productions immerse performers and audiences in dystopian futures that both endanger and engender human intimacy. Since 2017, Bordonaro and Kapteyn have collaborated to conceive, direct, produce, and perform original danceplays in Shanghai, New York City, Chicago, and London that have been featured in TimeOut Shanghai, TimeOut NY, Playbill, TodayTix, Medium, and No Proscenium. Their films The Pigeon & The Mouse and Subject are available to stream globally on Broadway On Demand and the Emmys® OTT platform, and their production of The Pigeon & The Mouse at The Space Theatre in London was a 2023 OFFIE Nominee. The company has developed work in residence at Baryshnikov Arts Center, The Mercury Store, and the New Directions Choreography Lab at The Ailey School; received support from City Artist Corps and Dance in Sacred Places; and partnered with The Moinian Group, The Real Estate Board of New York, Callahan Real Estate, Emursive, TRAVERSE32, The National Performing Arts Funding Exchange, Manhattan Plaza, The Empty Circle Gallery, and 3AM Theatre to present bespoke events.
