Broken Planet Show is an interactive absurdist cabaret created by Scottish theatre maker and former Blue Man Group performer Callum Grant. God's back from vacation to discover our world on the brink and there's only one solution: a broken planet show! Blending clown, comedy, live-looped music and immersive audience participation, the show invites audiences into a chaotic attempt to “save the world.” Performances can feature Nerf karaoke, flashlight symphonies, heartbeat sampling, giant baby rave, disco rituals and a 'real' monkey. Part immersive theatre, part alt-comedy spectacle, Broken Planet Show creates joyful shared experiences designed to break down social barriers through play, laughter and communal chaos. Audience Role
Audiences are not passive observers in Broken Planet Show - they become co-conspirators in the chaos. Participants may find themselves lighting scenes with flashlights, joining bizarre dance rituals, shooting Nerf guns at the performer during karaoke, helping “save the world,” or unexpectedly becoming part of the action itself. The show is designed to dissolve the barrier between performer and audience without demanding consent, creating a playful communal atmosphere where strangers laugh, interact and experience the absurd together.
