The future is present. Step into the unknown. Experience BLUR, where new technology meets the limits of love & loss. In a world where the dead can be cloned and science challenges the finality of death, BLUR invites audiences to cross the threshold between the real and the virtual, the living and the lost. Blending live performance, motion capture, and immersive XR environments, this mixed-reality experience unfolds for ten participants at a time. Guided through surreal landscapes, they confront the beauty—and the unease—of a future where resurrection is possible. BLUR began as a question—one that lies at the heart of mythology, science, and human longing. As scientific advancements like cloning and resurrection biology become real, they challenge not only our relationship to death but also our understanding of what it means to be human. Rooted in a shared background in poetic and experimental theatre, Quintero and Greenberg envisioned BLUR as a response to this moment: a surreal, immersive exploration of ethics, identity, and grief. Inspired by Theatre of the Absurd, populated by hybrid creatures and AI entities, BLUR is a dreamlike experience where the narrative unfolds across formats—and across realities.
