Bequest

An interactive poem about grief, loss, and inheritance

Bequest Immersive Event - Main Image

The newest experiment from micro-theatre maker Yannick Trapman-O'Brien and certified polymath J. Cleary Rubinos, Bequest is a meditation on loss and inheritance, a place to set something down, and a chance to hold something close. Maxwell, Ndichu and Stein represent the absolute pinnacle of Legal Services and Grief Allocation and Management from Law Firms that remain entirely fictional. Our services are compelling, confidential, pointedly brief, and as emotionally enriching/moving/devastating as you allow them to be. Affiliation with the Philadelphia Artists J. Cleary Rubinos and Yannick Trapman-O'Brien has been alleged, but has yet to be proven in a court of law. Content of Bequest varies based on participant choices, but includes serious consideration of Grief, Loss, Inheritance, Heartbreak, and many of the violent and explicit things conveyed by all those Perfectly Legal releases people ask you to sign. Bequest is an opportunity to visit and process these feelings; if you are currently deep in the midst of those feelings and seeking time out from them, we advise you to join us at a later date.

About Yannick Trapman-O'Brien

Yannick Trapman-O’Brien is a Performer, Theatermaker, and Creative Hand for Hire. His practice centers on exploring the exchanges and spaces we are willing to make and share with strangers, as well as seeking unorthodox applications for performance. People pay him to act, which he has done in Shakespeare, devised work, performance actions and immersive works, as well as amphitheaters, basements, historical mansions, forests and one time on a bike. Past credits include The Walnut Street Theater, Theater Mitu, Witness Relocation, the Interactive Playlab, The American Czech Theater, New Light Theater, and performances at the Franklin Institute, Morris Jumel and the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museums. He is an alumni of NYU Abu Dhabi (Theater, BA) and an ongoing collaborator with Monument Lab, Al-Bustan, Guerilla Science, and NYU Open Arts. He is also the creator of The Telelibrary, a critically acclaimed, ongoing telephone performance for audiences of one. Occasionally, he sleeps.
