Following two sold-out runs in 2023/24, Bacchanalia is returning, bigger and better than ever. Bacchanalia is an intense and intimate reimagining of The Bacchae by Euripides - Take a trip to the city of Thebes, where Pentheus believes he has everything under control - that is until his divine cousin Dionysus turns up seeking revenge on the family who have expressed doubt about this upstart god’s status. Witness first-hand the clash between mortals and the divine amidst a psychedelic 1960s setting. You will ask yourself … Do you deny a god? At Sleepwalk, we consider ourselves the next generation of fully immersive theatre. Formed in 2022 by a group of young creatives working in the industry, Sleepwalk offer intense theatrical experiences for small audiences, telling stories which will haunt and enthral. Our creative team have grown up in a world of free-roaming theatre where the audience has agency.
