About Ofo Theater
OTHER FORMS OF (OFO) THEATER creates and supports performances that do not fit neatly into the definition of “theatre” and exist below what is deemed commercially viable. We experiment with the theatrical form and rethink what performance is, not just artistically but also structurally. We test out new forms of artistic creation, financing structures, and organizational layouts. Through this we discover ways to make theatre more equitable, just, and fair. Ofo Theater is committed to exceptionally small, experimental, works that cannot scale, performances that eschew historic theatrical space, and shows that only tangentially relate to what we are taught theater is. OFO THEATER was inaugurated in 2024 as a way to categorize the small theatrical and installation work helmed by Dan Daly.
