An evening of nibbles, tipples, and tall tales around Baron Munchausen's table.
You are cordially invited to join the magnificent Baron Munchausen for an evening of myth, music, magic, marvels, and possibly a little mayhem. This fully immersive, intimate, and interactive experience will be one like no other. Rudolf Erich Raspe’s titular character from "The Surprising Adventures of Baron Munchausen” comes to life as he leaps off the page and onto the table where you, his honored guest, will see his fantastical tales come to life before your very eyes. Charismatic performances, surprising illusions, creations by local artisans, and a specially curated spread of delectable hors d’oeuvres and libations will be yours to enjoy as you experience and participate in the Baron’s larger-than-life antics. At The Baron's table, you will witness extraordinary feats of derring-do from riding cannonballs through battlefields to living inside a whale and traveling to the moon. Twice! This experience aims to reinvigorate the legacy of The Baron and celebrate the timeless art of storytelling! Masks are not required by The Peale, but will be provided by Motte & Bailey, prod. for all guests who desire one. The Performer will not be masked.
Audience Role
The audience are the guests of The Baron and join him at his table for an evening of stories, food, and drink. Everyone gathered is a dear friend and will be given the opportunity to join in as a character, a set piece, or a prop for a tale, if they choose. Participation is not necessary. The Baron loves his guests to be as active or observational as they feel comfortable... all are welcome.
