Experience the Unforgettable Journey Aionos: A Decolonial Futurist Mixed-Reality Production
Toronto/Edinburgh/Online – Prepare to embark on an extraordinary adventure that merges the rich history of Ancient Egypt with the captivating allure of Star Wars in Aionos, a groundbreaking mixed-reality production. This unique theatrical experience will transport audiences across time, space, and the metaverse as they immerse themselves in a mesmerizing narrative. This experience is created by Toasterlab based on a concept by Debbie Deer Productions and consulting by renowned immersive actor/director/designer Ari Tarr. The IRL performance of Aionos will perform daily except Mondays in ZOO’s Playground at the Old High School at 13:05. A limited number of tickets to experience the work from within the show’s VR world, and an unlimited number of streaming tickets allow audiences from around the world to participate in a hybrid theatrical experience.
Audience Role
Audience may participate via their chosen engagement format. While the in-person show can be experienced by sitting back and relaxing, more active options are involved in the online version via Discord and the VR version puts the audience in the world of the show directly.
