Again! Again!

A WOW Work-in-Process

Again! Again! Immersive Event - Main Image

What happens when a writer, a director and a performer are also mom, dad and babysitter? When does caregiving pause and the show begin? Most importantly, is tonight a treat night? Personal and participatory, Again! Again! dances at the crossroads of game, clowning, and the friends we call family. A work-life balancing act live on stage. A high stakes game of hot-potato. A love letter to collaborators of all kinds. This early staging promises to be silly, sweet and challenging – as are all worthwhile care-giving endeavors. This is a WOW Work-In-Process, marking the third year we’ve developed an early-stage WOW Festival project as part of the DNA New Work Series. This experience is a playtest, giving audiences a glimpse into an early phase of development. Audience feedback and participation are integral to shaping the future of the work; please stay after the presentation to share your thoughts. Patron notes: Duration is approx 60 min plus a post-show talkback. Again! Again! is a highly participatory show and audiences have the opportunity to take part by talking, playing, moving and making. Though some audience interaction will be encouraged or required, all participation will be “opt-in” for each individual audience member, and no one will be put “on the spot” without their express permission. There will be chairs available; however, audiences may sit, stand or move as they please.
