A Pretentious Evening Of Arte Immersive Event - Main Image

Presented by comedian/visual artisté Symin Adive (The Onion, UCB), “A Pretentious Evening Of Arte” features a screening of her solo sketch comedy special, “Art Thou An Artisté? Yes, I Arted.” followed by “Caricatures & Connections” where every audience member will receive a caricature of themselves either live onstage during an improvised interview or offstage. Either way they will be met with the deep and penetrating questions of a world class caricature artisté. Join us won’t you for a night of profound truths and elegant chuckles. The PIT is beginning to resume in-person classes and shows. To keep all of our students, performers, teachers, and staff safe, we are complying with all COVID protocols from state and local governments. Attendees at shows are recommended to remain masked except while eating or drinking.

About Symin Adive

Symin Adive is both an artist and a fartist. A thinker and a clown. An explorer and a stay at home-er (now more than ever). Currently, she is a headline writer for The Onion as well as a professional Art Director/Illustrator. She was a writer for UCB Maude Night in NYC and performer about town/Zoom. In her formative years, she taught herself to code websites at age 11 due to having a childhood devoid of both sun and fun. In her free time, she enjoys writing, contemplating life's mysteries near a body of water, playing sports where she can hit things, and watching an arguably unhealthy amount of film/tv. Keenly aware of the catastrophic state of the world, Symin likes to distract herself by drawing pretty pictures and making dumb videos. Check them out won't you at the creatively titled syminadive.com
