A HUNDRED WORDS FOR SNOW
in-person theatre for pandemic times
When the 15 year old Rory experiences loss for the first time in her life, it inspires her to set out on a journey to honor a lost friend. Her brain is telling her: “Don’t go!” But her heart knows that she must. This beautiful coming of age story begins in the confines of a cynical 15 year old’s mind, and ends in the heart-warming realization that life is short and the world is a big and glorious place. NOTE: Snow will be performed live at Burning Coal Theatre but with an audience of only four people per performance. Performances will be Thursdays – Saturdays at 6 pm, 7:45 pm and 9:30 pm and Sundays at 2 pm, 4 pm and 6 pm. Estimated run time: 1 hours. COVID-19 Structure: - Masks are required in the building at all times (if you do not bring one, a disposable mask will be provided to you) - Maximum of 4 audience members per show - One party/household will be allowed to enter the building at a time, starting at 15 minutes before showtime - The house manager will take everyone's temperature in the lobby before immediately seating them to prevent gathering in the lobby - There will be no concessions, there is no intermission since the show is 1 hour long - The four seats for audience members are seated at least 6 feet apart, in the round, on the 4 sides of a glass box that the actor will stay in the entire time
Audience Role
Audiences will be asked to blindfold themselves with provided disposable blindfolds for the majority of the performance. There is no interaction beyond that point.
