A first-of-its-kind live show using cloud computing on your Oculus Quest
We're excited to have you join us for Actors Theatre of Louisville's Lab Production of A Christmas Carol: Scrooge's Ghost Encounter Live in VR, a collaboration with Agile Lens and Heavenue. This will be the very first show to premiere on Heavenue, a new platform that streams live, high-fidelity VR performances from the cloud to your Oculus Quest. While in this multiplayer experience, you'll be able to move around the virtual environment and enjoy the show from any location you like... even an inch away from the actors ! Further instructions on installing the app to access the lab performance will be sent via email prior to each performance. About Heavenue
Heavenue is a new platform that connects performers with audiences across the world. Our vision is to make entertainment accessible without compromising the experience. To do this, Heavenue is developing scalable methods for performers to launch live, high-fidelity, immersive shows from using as little as a phone camera to as much as the highest end performance capture hardware available. Through the magic of cloud computing, performances created on Heavenue can be engaged with by anyone on an internet connected device anywhere in the world, using VR headsets, desktop/laptop computers, or even smartphones and tablets (note: Christmas Carol is only selling Oculus Quest tickets at this time but will be expanding to other devices soon). By utilizing the computers in the cloud, your device can experience a show at far greater fidelity than what could be rendered locally.
