Denver Film Festival Where: Denver, Colorado When: November 3rd - 14th, 2021 Price: Free - $65 The Denver Film Festival will return with an in person and virtual edition and we're bringing back the virtual reality and immersive theater program (which took a brief hiatus for last year's festival). This year's festival features 12 in-person projects in the VR gallery (including some of your favorites from SXSW, Tribeca, Venice International Film Festival, and Sundance), an interactive installation, and three in-person theater pieces from The Catamounts, Capital W and 600 Highwaymen. Not to mention audio shows from Candle House Collective and The Telelibrary, an unmissable mixed media performance called MY FIRST FILM by Zia Anger (Friday, Nov. 12th) and a special digital performance of Third Rail Projects NYC's RETURN THE MOON to close out the festival. Your favorite non-profit arthouse org bringing you #Denver's best indie film programming at the #SieFilmCenter, Denver Film Festival, #FilmOnTheRocks, and more! Each year's Denver Film Festival in November features a VR Gallery and Immersive program as part of its lineup. Since 1978, Denver Film has worked to promote film as both an art form and a civic forum, developing a program that includes year-round screenings, community outreach projects and renowned special events. In addition, the DFS organizes annual festivals such as Film on the Rocks, a cinema/concert series held throughout the summer at Red Rocks Amphitheatre. Which leads up to November’s flagship event: the Denver Film Festival, a twelve-day roster of international screenings, red-carpet premieres and awards ceremonies—among them the prestigious Krzysztof Kieslowski Award for Best Feature Film, the Maysles Brothers Award for Best Documentary and the achievement-based John Cassavetes Award.
