While on the surface, this may seem like a typical “Holiday Inn with a restaurant, bar, outdoor pool, and 3 acres of grounds,” the weekend long game posits that your accommodations are in fact haunted and it’s up to you to find out what happened to your colleague who went missing during his paranormal investigation. Up to six teams can play at once, and it starts as soon as players check in. While teams of up to six can solve at their leisure on Saturday, Sunday morning the final clue is given, and from there, it is a race to solve the game and take home an actual trophy.

Hell, if you’re already spending the money on Galactic Starcruiser, might as well get the biggest bang for your buck and stay here on the way in or out! The game through the end of this year is spy themed, and utilizes a corresponding app to enhance the experience. The whole experience really only takes about 3-4 hours, so the idea is it’s meant to be completed between trips to theme parks, but let’s be honest, if I’m going to Disney World I’m there from rope drop til my feet give out.

This overnight experience can accommodate up to 4 people and allows 20 hours to complete your mission?!?!?! Is this the dream? Did we find it?!?!?! Thankfully the price tag includes breakfast, dinner and beverages to keep you in peak escape shape, so when all is said and done, it’s rather affordable for what it is. The location also features two other escape rooms to knock out while you’re in the area.

Chateau de Versailles Hotel Experience

Pretend to be a visiting royal at Versailles, or just straight up pretend to be Marie Antoinette, in this more expensive-than-god getaway experience, where you can elect to have personal dressers, explore the grounds at night, ride horses, have your own personal symphony perform for you, and participate in parlor style games. On May 23rd, 2022, the Palace of Versailles organizes its Fête Galante in the Hall of Mirrors, an entertaining evening of demonstrations, vintage dance classes, a ball, firework display, with everyone dressed up in period costume.
