Best New Games for Feb '22
by Fionna
This round of worlds is a variety of games that are mostly fairly short, but lots of fun to play in small groups! We have competitive games, some cooperative puzzles, and a couple horror worlds to explore.
Smooch
This tag game requires at least 4 players, but the fun only increases with more. During the school dance, cupid will come and shoot you with love's arrow, and then you have to find your crush and kiss them with a set of comically oversized lips. Avoid the creep, however! Whoever fills up their love meter first, or collects a full box of chocolates to give to their crush with a smooch wins!
Bingo 2000
From middle school to the senior center--once you've tired of stealing kisses at Smooch, head over to the bingo hall. Lots of very special prizes await.
Just Find Banana
How about some puzzle games next? This one is pretty simple in concept, the title gives away the goal. But that sneaky banana is sometimes hard to reach!
Catch the Gears
For a harder challenge, check out Catch the Gears. Are you mechanically inclined enough to solve all the puzzles?
Guess the TV/Movie Music
If you like music trivia games, this creator has a ton of them! Check out this one from February to start, and if you enjoy it, look at the other worlds from this author.
GeoLocator
This game is a VR version of Geoguesser--you are presented with a 360 view of a location, and you get points for how close you place your marker on the map.
Tomatina!
This game has you running through a village throwing fruit in a Splatoon-like PvP game. There are a few different game modes to try out.
Outpost: ASTRA
This world lets you explore, grow crops, or go on a finding mission in the alien landscape. A little more open-ended than other games on this list, but still fun to do with friends or just roleplay planetary colonists!
Project C.A.V.E
This short horror experience isn't too scary, but I still wouldn't want to go here alone. Bring a small group to help explore and complete the ritual.
Paranormal Research Org: Shears Cutting Edge
We're not sure why the agents in this map are large low-poly cats, but just go with it. The rest of the map is far from silly, there are some very creepy scares in the darkness, and multiple endings.
