REST AREA an easygoing site-specific experience for solo travelers created by Adrian D. Cameron, Max Mondi, and Emerie Snyder presented by The Tank & RIGHT NOW Are you tired? I know I am. Maybe you’ve been working nonstop and haven’t really taken a vacation in what is now two years because your office has changed what a “vacation” means. Maybe the idea of being around people is so anxiety-inducing that it’s just easier to stay in. Maybe you feel like you’re going nuts because no one else seems to be (spoiler: they are). Let’s take a break. Sit down. Yeah, right here in the middle of Broadway, between W. 35th and W. 36th Streets. Grab a seat. Read a little. Listen to some music. Just relax. This is it. No surprises. You’ve had enough surprises. Just take a minute. Or several minutes. In fact, take as much time as you need. This time is for you. Take a minute at the REST AREA. Your life’s not going anywhere. Wait, I didn’t mean it like that. I just mean . . . it can stand to wait a few minutes for you, after all this time. September 17, 18 & 19 Visitors are invited to stop by anytime between 5PM and 8PM *Please note that this event will be presented outdoors on Broadway between W. 35th & W. 36 Streets. All attendees and artists will be required to wear masks.... Show More

Emerie Snyder - director & creator

Hosting immersive events on EI since April, 2021

Emerie is a NYC-based interdisciplinary theatre creator of new performance work in unconventional forms and places. She likes thinking about things like mirrors, maps, memories, animals, paintings, layers, language, opposites, tiny objects, and big questions. Her art makes connections between those many things–in the form of ephemeral live performances that bridge theatre, visual art, and shared space.
