The Roots and Wings Project is a politically charged, socially transformative, project-based theatre company that brings attention to truth and provides stage and space for voices of the unnamed, unknown and misunderstood. Going strong for 20 years, the work is intersectional, uniting artists and audiences inside and outside of prison, across race, class, background, and artistic discipline. ​ We create plays in traditional and site-specific spaces, disrupting biased narratives.
